Entrance to Zion

After leaving the Mexican restaurant in Mesquite, Han and I scheduled figured our next stop was going to be St. George, UT. We crossed into Arizona and dropped into the Virgin River Gorge (not my picture). We were getting passed by big rigs single, double, and TRIPLE trailers long! Holy CRAP! Coming out of the gorge, I see a biker stranded on our side of the highway so I pull over and see if I can lend a hand. The guy is riding a nice looking Harley and seems to have blown a coil so I couldn't do anything for him. Turns out he's on a"group ride" with 3 other riders heading home to Hurricane, UT. I guess the other guys didn't notice their buddy disappeared. We remount and head back up the highway and make it to St. George and decide to keep going onto Hurricane. We were expecting to see signs for the town or the park but at 16 miles past St. George, we didn't see shit so I took an exit which just happened to be the right one. The problem was that the road was being resurfaced and it was our side's turn to wait for the guide truck to come through. The flagman signaled us forward and told us it was going to be a while. It turns out that the guy is from Pico Rivera! We're in the middle of BFU and run into a guy from the next county! We finally pull into Hurricane and stop at yet another Chevron. My bank figures someone's stolen my credit card so I have to pay inside. Upon entering, I see the beer anyone who goes to Utah must find - Polygamy Porter! I pickup a sixer for us and a quart of oil for the bikes. The ladies behind the counter think it's funny ;) We roll around the corner and up a hill with the sun setting behind us and stop at the first vista point we find. We learned later that vista points in these parts occur at every corner.
